Overpriced Hype!

imagine a life of a perfect shopaholic. Prada pants in Nose heels with Gucci bag and Padini jacket; prancing proudly in Loreal makeup and expensive hair-do. not to mention diamond watch and Benz 4 seater. life is good. great comfy and awesome social status. love the attention and respect that people throwing at me. the first look of people when they found out i own the latest Apple product. whoo! simply soul-satisfying...

what would you say about shopaholics? or those who brand-cautious? or maybe people who just get excited seeing normal stuffs with famous brand logo on it? there existence of people who are particular about branded gadgets or stuffs. from watches to nail polishes, makeup to vehicles, from cloth lines to shoe & heels and even slippers. you name it. there are all sorts of  luxurious brands in which mostly costly that we can think of. though its expensive, the comfort, ease, pleasure and status that it may give confidence and boost your self esteem. to some, it gives relief feeling from middle-class struggle routine.

let us just forget about the few positive stuffs that famous (or i must say overpriced) brands can gve us. try to think about  your thought just after looking at a sporty Adidas shoe. Or cutting edge Iphone. Or maybe stylish Versace tops and even luxurious gourmet experience at Mandarin Oriental. All these are some of the esperience that we want to have. Just for fun. For self satisfaction. Without a mark, we are mentally drawn to a mass-money-sucking institute for purchasing overpriced daily materials. Leaving us behind just being materialistic and totally unaware of the subliminal mind manipulation - just like the baby here:

the temptation of earning branded (im not referring to mere quality products here) stuff for a price that is capable to feed a child is really unavoidable for some. Mostly our thoughts of branded material would be "Do i look great in this?", "Im going to look  fabulous and rich in this get up" and etc..but we fail to think alot more issues behind it. Want a clue? Say about the labor work issue, the poor wages to third world country citizens, crime against wild life, disobey of environmental rules, serious capitalism of private sector, extra-profit earned by companies, corruption and political dirt that go along with global franchising, the reckless behavior of certain famous companies towards society benefits and even religious restriction to some extent. There could be even more than these. 

Some Brands that i personally find its overpriced

It is sad to stay in a world that at some places people drink fine taste of specially fermented wine and at the same time in some corner of earth unlucky people merely gulping saliva to quench thirst. We are too overwhelmed by the pleasure that a material can give till it made us blur on the humanitarian and environmental issues behind the making of that material. Im sure you are aware of the problems that I have just mention here (in itallic). Despite all that, some still stand valiantly in our pathetic world.

I am not about to start a revolution against these brands or somewhat similar (as I myself using Hewlett Packard Notebook in my Pierre Cardin shorts whilst sipping fine taste of Bru coffee), but I wish people do realize the harm that we are capable of doing just by buying some expensive products. Some level of civic consciousness and basic exposure of capitalism (so much more) need to be implanted in all. To those who are reading this, learn, teach and pay much heed about the issues that these famous brands capable of hiding. And to those corporate giants who i a way responsible for my dissatisfaction (and reading this) :  SHAME ON YOU!

The Perfect Romance & The Cinematic Love

Have you seen a Tamil/Hindi (Indian Cinema) movies in which the love is so intense? The guy will 'hunt' for the perfect love - no matter of the girl want it or not? Ever come across a movie that the love talks are incomparable to practical world? Try gaze trough these scenarios (herein i name the 'romantic' guy as Romeo and the girl as Juliet):

• Romeo will stumble upon Juliet in market, mall, wedding (or other auspicious occasions) or public places (even traffic stands!) and at that one split moment, he will knew that his Juliet.

• Romeo will tail Juliet and try to do all the best he can to impress here in spite of hi regular duties to work or family. and eventually Juliet WILL fall for him.

• Romeo would be a thug/irresponsible youngster whom good with romantic talks (ex : I would do anything on this world to love you as much as  this universe weight) , pickup lines and sweet talks. And predictably Juliet will fall for him, without thinking about family and other responsibilities.

Familiar? the point is people make these sort of movies too much till most of us tend to get wrong idea about Romance and Love (and don't even get me started with Love-at-first-sight!). Love nowadays does not more feel divine (generally speaking) or sweet. It is more filmy and to fictitious with all the  bragging and attention craving that these modern teenagers would opt for. It is like the movies taught them on "How To Spoil The Sanctity of Love Within a Moment You Spot a Pretty Smokin' Girl?'. Too overwhelming thou.

It is wrong to say pure Love doesnt exist. But it is even wrong to claim all the petty affection that one is having (weather guy or girl) is The Pure Love. Love should evolve. Love shouldn't sprout out from thin air. Love should be felt by both parties. Love shouldn't be forced or convinced onto your eye candy. Love must be subjective and personal to one, not too cinematic for reasons. We could see these kind of 'extravagant' love everywhere.

All im saying is there are existence of The Perfect Romance. But often people get it mixed up with The Cinematic Love. Teenagers especially. Some urge make them to quickly find for fling just to make positive remarks on their social statuses. Big accusations but we can know youngsters nowadays  do behave like that. find love that is genuine and 'feel-able' by both parties. dont just make a false attempt that doesnt connect any two.

Man 101 - You Man Enough?

Pride - Lion with a mane; wolf with vengeance

It is an intriguing question . ever know some guy who just never let go his views? or maybe, some guy who belief in something so strong that you cant manipulate them? or even some man who just stubborn about their perspective? familiar? most of the things that i've just asked are well-identifiable in a man.The Great Myth says : Guys are Alike. well ladies, get to know that is wrong. guys are not the same. we are individually unique. probably due to the urge of being different from others, guys do think differently from one another. but the similarities is, guys easily understand why each of them differ in such way. confused?

It is easy for a guy to understand another guy but anyhow, we may not think alike. to cut short, guys thinking and attitude could be categorized into three main CRITERIA

1. guys who belief in something so strong that they will follow it all the time.
2. guys who does not let go their statuses easily, and tend to behave & make decisions accordingly
3. guys who headstrong about their feeling, comfort and doesnt accept views

all the three stuffs sounds similar? well it were just mere descriptions of man mentality in which can be categorized into Ego, Pride and Principle. for those who still blur, let us look into what are Ego, Pride and Principle.  Ego is a sense of self esteem and self conscious in a way that limited to own need and perspective (CRITERIA #3). Pride is a feeling of having pleasure, or proud of being oneself due to possessing some perspectives or qualities (CRITERIA #2). and finally, a guy with principle means guys with rules or belief that governs one behavior and root of reasoning (CRITERIA #1). each guy have these three things in them. just the matter of the perfect blend of ego, pride and principle that differs in each one of them.

this is why woman's thinking is different. they are more of  'pushover'(or easily influenced. esp of beliefs and views; no offence ladies!) and their behavior are more to the way they were brought up. from my observation, woman are less egoistic, less prideful and possess less principles than man. there is a urge in every male's head to become superior than another and the necessity to be different in views.

its less likely to see man easily being manipulated by words and views (well, not material wise) as they have strong 'manly-opinions' about how things are going around them. you can try this concept onto any man and still fits into those 3 main criteria. try it and leave a comment!
