CHOOSING CIVILITY

Some statistic studies show that 97% of us think that rudeness and bad behaviour is serious national problem but at the same time, 80% of us think that we are not rude. Part of the norm is, we blame everyone imaginable just to weight their shoulder with blame of such issues.
But down within, ask yourselves; are you rude?

Well, try answering these questions:
· Are you chronically late?
· Have you typed a mail or chat while talking on the phone?
· Have you interrupted face-to-face conversation for non-urgent cell phone call?
· Have you let your pet to ‘relieve’ itself on your neighbour’s lawn?
· Have you stolen someone else’s parking lot when you know it theirs?
· Have you taken someones possession without permission when they are not there?
· Have you scolded/annoyed anyone without valid reason and for your own relieve?
· Have you ever ignore a person when he/she talking to you?

These are only some question that can classify us as RUDE. But to think naturally, we can come up with more lists of behaviours that we think rude. There is no such thing as level or degree of rudeness. If you are rude then you really are.

But what is the problem of being rude? Try asking yourself if someone replies or act in rude way to you, how do you feel? Its a matter of giving and taking respect and mannerism that can question your upbringing by your family. Sounds like it is a serious matter, don’t they?
We tried to civilise by revolutionising things around us. And that, also includes our level of civility and mannerism that shines on our behaviour and personality.

So people try to be polite!!!

divine wisdom

kalai vaalgha, malar vaalgha, kalaimalarin thiruvalgha, pulavar thiru naavi porunthum tamil valgha, kanni tamilodu kalantha natchami valgha, annai kalaivani vanna peyar valgha valghave.. -PORTRAY OF SARASWATHY IN TAMIL-
(hail performing arts, hail blooming lotus, all hail the Lotus of All Arts, hail the One who being always illustrated by poets, hail the Divine which represent the virgin Tamil, all hail motther of all arts for eternity..

practise of polytheism in certain religion (hinduism to be spesific) can be confusing and tedious. however, i could not reason myself why it is that way. yeah, maybe its true but thinking from the positive side of it, maybe there are hidden messages for us to ponder behing the idea of polytheism.

hinduism is nothing more than simple symbolism of almighty's power. the thing that people use to conclude about hinduism is, there is no concept of 'oneness'. but the truth is, there is! the universe and the divine is being captured in most illustrous way to leave an sense of ambuigity to its worshippers. hinduism uses the concept of feminine power (which dominates the world) as the superior and 'motherly' to all aspects.

one fine example in hinduism is the goddess of education and arts. S.A.R.A.S.W.A.T.H.Y. i would say, She is one of the perfect personification of wonder and divinity of arts and education.

  • WHITE SAREE - purity of education and arts, putting them in imaginably in high position
  • VEENAI - showing that education and arts are 'easy to travel' as music do.
  • SWAN(hamsa) - symbol of intelligence and beauty
  • PEACOCK - symbol of beauty and pride
  • WHITE LOTUS - notify that education and arts are worth 'worshipped' and respected.
  • BEADS & BOOKLET - self devotion to education

ramadhan al mubarak

already moving into ramadhan..
month of forgiveness and self control
all of us should get something from it
make some resolution and fulfill it
mine would be :
  • wake up early morning everyday
  • pray and meditate
  • eat less
  • no 'ehem' things

hehehehe.. to all of my friends.. happy fasting!!

its not hard to be controlled by your own self. u need determination and effort, which may sound easy but only the 'chosen ones' would get it through! hahahaha...

with a friendly reminder of 'determination can even shift your future', i insist all of us make some resolution to enhance our living on this B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L world..
