bet you all the Mayan stuffs and the pep talk about 21-12-12 get your day going pretty much to nothing. all the fuss in the media all loosely translated as "God love us so much. Nothing would happen" , "Scientists are freaks. believe none of them." and "Mayans are looser" . i attended some Christmas caroling and get-together and Shirdi Spiritual Center Ipoh, all they were talking about are about how God loves us so much and would not allow the Earth to pop right out of norm.
well, take a moment to think practically, billion galaxies, multidimension universe and gazillions of creatures; and God have to be merciful only to human kind. pretty strong and cocky, isn't?
most of us think in such way that God will protect us, He love us all and etc. but if you ask the tsunami victims in Japan, ethnical massacre victims in Sri Lanka or maybe the famine victims of Africa, they will tell you different way of them understanding the Merciful God.
whatever it maybe, we must agree that we are prone to a lot of cataclysmic phenomenon and man made catastrophic events. wars, biological warfare, earthquakes, solar flares are few to mention. so far, we are just booing the Mayans and making sooth-saying that Mayans miscalculated and how they 'ran out of space on the tablet', but let us remember that in a world with all the trash talks, there are many who are suffering and experiencing such catastrophic tragedies. pray for them and try to work for their well being.
all the big talk about the world made me recall one particular song by Vanessa Williams which has deep meaningful lyrics on how we should view the earth ~ Colors of The Wind
peace out
